Kolozyan Babken (1909-1994)

1909 - born in Yerevan.
1928 - graduated from Art College, Yerevan.
1938 - graduated from the Institute, named after I.Repin of the Academy of Arts, Leningrad. Studied in A.Osmerkin’s studio.
1939 - returned to Yerevan and began to participate in the republican, all-union and international exhibitions.
Was giving lessons at the Art College in Yerevan. Since the foundation of Yerevan Institute of Fine Arts and Drama was professor and the head of the painting department until his retirement.
In the early 70s settled in Saghmosavan (Armenia), where he lived until his death.
Honored Artist of Armenia.
1994 - died in Yerevan.
Works are in the NGA (Yerevan), in artistic funds of the Ministry of Culture of Armenia, in private collections.
