Zardarian Hovhannes (1918-1992)

1918 – born in Kars.

1937 - graduated from Art College, Yerevan.

1937-1941 – studied at the Institute, named after I.Repin of the Arts Academy, Leningrad.

Continued study at the Institute of Fine Arts and Drama, Yerevan.

Since 1956 - Honored Artist of Armenia.

Since1958 - correspondent member of USSR Art Academy.

Since 1963 - Peoples Artist of Armenia.

Since 1969 – professor of Teachers Training Institute, named after Kh.Abovyan, Yerevan.

For some time worked as a stage designer.

1992 – died in Yerevan.

The works are kept in NGA (Yerevan), Tretyakov gallery (Moscow), Modern Art Museum (Yerevan), many private collections in Armenia and abroad.
